Leaders for Christ's church at work in the world

Getting You the Tools that You Need

Our world is changing and we find that our current contexts continue to diversify. Globalization makes the world appear to shrink. Trinity seeks to form leaders who are thoroughly equipped to minister effectively in this ever-changing world.

Spanish for Ministry is a significant part of training for Trinity students. Over 55 million people in the U.S. identify themselves as Latino or Hispanic, and that number continues to grow. For many of our faith communities, ministry opportunities abound to reach people who are from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Former students at Trinity realized they were not equipped to minister in this manner and brought their concerns to Trinity. The administration was aware of these changes in the landscape of ministry and came up with a great solution: Spanish for Ministry.

Trinity is proud to be the first ELCA seminary to have degree programs which require students to learn how to conduct worship in Spanish. This is a great tool to have in the tool kit; it will definitely be needed in the days to come.

  • Music at Trinity connects me to God in a deeper and more satisfying way through the community created by peers and professors. The courses are relevant to my present church situation and so spiritually fulfilling--more so than I ever imagined. Trinity is a family of individuals united through the desire to experience a meaningful connection with God.
