On November 9, Trinity Lutheran Seminary and the Jewish Federation of Columbus invite the community to the annual commemoration of Kristallnacht, "the Night of Broken Glass," the 1938 event that presaged the Holocaust. This year's program will feature the premiere of "Butterfly," a new musical setting by Gary William Friedman of some of the poetry of children of Terezin, the infamous concentration camp.

His areas of expertise include Pentecostalism and interfaith dialogue, and he is the author or editor of numerous articles and books.
