Leadership in Context 1

In this course, students will learn the case for reading the various contexts for leadership in their assigned field education site and beyond.

- Part One - Spring First Year - Narrow (Tentative Content)

Personal Context - 
Enneagram, spiritual gifts inventory, leadership inventory (or other similar instrument)
Resident Theologian - The technical language and method of theology and theological reflection in and for leadership
Skill Building - Techniques for interviewing and appreciative critique
Financial Context - Personal and Organizational Budgeting
Organizational Context - Organzational History; Leadership History; Emotional Systems
Demographic, Censusm and Trend Report Data - The Neighborhood
Theological Question - Who is God here and what might God be doing here?

Students will work with tools and methods for reading those contexts; learn to analyze and intepret what they read; and use those readings to think theologically and practically about missional leadership in context.
