wheeler commencement 2012The Rev. Ken Wheeler, Trinity class of 1982, addressed the 2012 classes of Trinity and Bexley Hall seminaries during commencement on May 19. Wheeler serves as the pastor of Cross Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, a congregation he describes as “rich in faith and service to its community… a church known for its involvement in the areas of social justice and fighting for the dignity of people.” He became their pastor seven years ago, after serving 18 years as the assistant to the bishop of the Greater Milwaukee Synod.

Thirty-four graduates from Trinity and five from Bexley Hall received degrees during commencement exercises at Mees Auditorium on the campus of Capital University. The day began with a celebratory Eucharist in the Gloria Dei Worship Center at Trinity, where the Rev. Dr. Henry J. Langknecht provided the sermon, and Trinity President Mark R. Ramseth and Bexley Hall Dean Thomas C. Ferguson served as presiders.
